What we do

AgriLift is a South African marketplace that connects farmers with SACAA-verified agricultural drone operators for crop spraying, mapping, and related services. Farmers can map their fields, request and compare R/ha quotes from verified pilots, and pay via escrow; operators find jobs in their area, submit quotes, and get paid when the job is done. Payment is held in escrow until completion so both sides are protected. The platform also supports tractor spray records: farmers can log manual applications with automatic weather data (temperature, wind, Delta T) so every entry is audit-ready for GlobalGAP and export. AgriLift operates in South Africa and emphasises compliance (SACAA ROC/RPL, POPIA) and clear quoting so farmers and operators can transact with clarity.

When we started

AgriLift was founded in 2025 to fill a gap in the market. There was no dedicated platform for South African farmers and drone operators to find each other, compare quotes, and manage bookings with trust and transparency. In 2026 we’re focused on expanding that with hybrid tractor logging, weather integration, and flexible payment options for established commercial farms.

Why we started

I looked into becoming a drone operator and hit a barrier. The required medical and colour-vision tests ruled me out due to being colour blind. I couldn’t fly, so I looked at the industry from the outside. I saw farmers and operators still connecting through word of mouth, WhatsApp groups, and ad hoc arrangements. There was no single place to post a job, get comparable quotes from verified pilots, and pay with confidence. That’s why I built AgriLift, to give farmers and operators a proper place to connect, with compliance, escrow, and audit-ready records built in.
